Natural fabric needs special care, and we want you to love it as much as we do. Here’s some additional information.

Natural Fabric Care:

• We understand that the process of creating natural fabric is complex and unique, but it’s also delicate. Incorrect washing could cause fading or shrinking. These fabrics should be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent and air dried. They can also be tumble dried on a low heat setting.
• Our washing care instructions are essential when purchasing our products. All our products are handwoven by the artisans of Rajasthan, India. Because they are handloomed, there could be slight differences in color and designs from what is shown in the pictures.
• We recommend washing the product separately once or twice before first use to minimize any bleeding of color. Wash at 30°C temperature using mild detergent. Do not bleach or use harsh detergent, as it may damage the fabric and cause fading over time.

At KAPASVAAS, we take pride in our handmade products, and we want to provide you with some important information about our items:

• Our products are meticulously crafted by skilled artisans and involve various manual processes. As a result, there may be natural variations in color, finish, and overall appearance.
• The colors you see on our website may vary slightly depending on the accuracy of your monitor’s settings. Please acknowledge these subtle variations.
• We provide wash care instructions for each product on our website, and we strongly advise following these instructions carefully.
• Avoid directly spraying deodorant, mist, or perfume on our dresses, especially those with Gold & Silver Prints.
• The fit of each garment depends on factors like its cut, fabric, and styling. Some may be fitted, while others are more relaxed. Our sizing guide can help you choose the right size based on your body measurements.
• We use premium fabrics, carefully sourced by our team. All our prints are Hand-Blocked Printed, and there may be slight variations in each batch of print. While we strive to make our product images as close to the original as possible, there may be marginal color variations from the actual product.
• Most of our products feature an “all over print” design, and the placement of artwork may differ from what is displayed in the picture. Slight differences in color from the visible product image are possible, as cameras and computer monitors may not perfectly match the human eye’s perspective.
• Please note that our products are handblock printed and vegetable dyed. Therefore, the print may exhibit slight irregularities in motif and colors. These variations are a hallmark of handcrafted products.
• Due to the use of natural, vegetable dyes, the fabric may rub dry or bleed color when exposed to water for the first time.
• Some of our blocks, such as Gad, Reikh, and Datta Blocks, have specific characteristics in carving and printing. For example, the Gad is carved in intaglio and is used to print large background figures, resulting in a slight zig-zag border effect on the fabric. Rekh and Datta blocks are carved in complete relief and serve different purposes.

Washing Care:

To ensure the longevity of your clothing, please follow these washing care instructions:

• Handwash gently with mild detergent. Avoid soaking any cotton dress and do not wash it with other garments. Dry the dress inside out in the shade.
• While dry cleaning is ideal, handwashing also works well.
• Taking good care of your clothes will help them remain fresh and in good condition for a longer time.
• Use water judiciously, and wash your garments only when necessary. Airing them after each use will keep them fresh for multiple wears.
• Wash our garments by hand; do not use a washing machine or dryer.
• Please note that all our cotton fabrics are either handloom woven or hand-block printed, and some shrinkage may occur.
• Be cautious when applying fragrances to handmade clothes, as certain ingredients may remove prints or stain the fabric. It’s advisable to spray fragrances lightly in front of you and then walk into the mist.
• Some fabrics, like Indigo, may shed excess color. Certain ikats and block-printed textiles may bleed. In such cases, consider dry cleaning the garments with the services of a reputable dry cleaner. Otherwise, wash the clothes carefully by hand.

Laundry Instructions:

Here are some specific instructions for laundering your KAPASVAAS garments:

• Sort your clothes by color and wash only similar-colored garments together.
• Prepare a solution of mild detergent in cold water and soak the garment for five minutes. Avoid prolonged soaking.
• Rinse the garment a few times in cold water to remove all detergent thoroughly.
• For a crisp finish, dip the garment in a diluted solution of liquid starch. Avoid wringing too vigorously.
• To prevent color fading, avoid drying your clothes in direct sunlight. Hang them out to dry in the evenings or in the shade. Use rust-proof hangers for hanging.
• When ironing, do not iron directly on block-prints, embroidery, etc. Turn such clothes inside out and iron them lightly.

Storage Tips:

• Store your garments in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
• Keep white and light-colored garments separate from darker ones.
• You can use aromatic sachets to keep your cupboard smelling fresh.

Silk And Silk Blends:

• Silk and silk blend fabrics should only be dry cleaned.
• Store them carefully in cloth covers with scented sachets.
